Good Deeds for
Saint Max Program
2019 marks the 10-year anniversary of our parish, when Christ the King Parish in Blakeslee merged with Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Pocono Pines to form St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish. To celebrate this anniversary and to honor our patron, St. Maximilian Kolbe, and the sacrifice he made to save the life of another in 1941, our parish introduces the Good Deeds for St. Max program. Any child who does a good deed for another at home, church, school or in the community can bring a letter written by a parent, friend, teacher or community leader telling us all about it. Then, our parish will give that child one raffle ticket for every good deed done for another. The raffle tickets will then be entered in a drawing for a special prize at the parish picnic in August.
Letters can be submitted to Melissa Laverty, Coordinator of Religious Education/Pastoral Associate, either in person or by e-mail. Limit 10 tickets per child.
